06 vette and cam choices....
06 vette and cam choices.... well i have an 06 vette thats pretty much stock other than 3:73 gears, and a hand held tunner right now, also its an auto. Im looking to put in a cam, long tubes and obviously a real tune for now. Now i know im going with PRC dual golds and comp hardened pushrods, but where im foggy at is cam and long tube options. For now ill be running the stock converter so ill need the biggest cam i can run that will make power with the stock converter. And for Long tubes stainless is prefered but coated is an option. I wanted to go with a ms3-ms4 but i dont think that would be a good match with a stock converter. And my LPP's i had on my z28 where nice but i didnt see any available for a vette. This will be just a street car, weekend toy so drivability is a must as far as the cam goes.

Stock converter limits your choices quite a bit....
i know a cam with a stock converter is like a rubber with the tip cut off..... the idea is there but the functionality just doesnt work.
but for now it is what it is.
I had a 224/224 .588/.588 112 in my silverado and it was a pretty decent cam, maybe ill see if i can pick one of those up again.
