Pacesetters no cats for Corvette C5??

Pacesetters no cats for Corvette C5?? Hey guys,
Just wondering what you guys think of Pacesetter Shorty style headers for a c5, and if any of you guys have used them, because those things are really cheap$$$!!! i see a lot of people using long tubes, but what performance gains are you looking at from shorty's with the cats left ON due to CALI emissions
? Also would anybody suggest having an exhaust shop cut the cats off and weld a pipe in place, is that safe or do you have a chance of SES or even an exhaust leak when they go back on come smog time??? Thanks a lot!

You'd have to get o2 simulators to run an "offroad" (no cats) pipe. If not, your SES light will stay on. And personally, i dont like shorties. The gain from long tubes to me is more where the LS1 thrives in the powerband so thats beneficial
