Default Emblems

Just wondering if there are holes behind the front and rear emblems on a c5? I just picked up my 01 ZO6 last week. Already removed the side moldings and I would like to remove the front and rear flags. I see that hardly anybody has these emblems removed..any reasons why? I just don't want to be surprised with holes behind these emblems if I do decide to remove them.

Thanks

There are 2 holes behind the emblem on the front bumper...The emblem has 2 posts that go in the bumper.

The rear emblem just sticks on.. no holes.

I took mine off to replace them, they were worn out looking. you can see a very very small difference in the paint underneath even after buffing, at least on my car.

That's exactly what I didn't want to hear! Thanks for the input though..I'll just have to live with the front emblem on...rear one is coming off.

Yeah sucks. My buddy had his front bumper repainted (from paint chips) and had the 2 holes filled when it was getting prepped. He didn't care for the emblems either.
