He's talking about your "smog" system. The air pump ties in to the top of your exhaust manifold. Go look and see what I'm talking about on your car.
If your getting it tuned and live in a state where there is not a smog test you can ditch the pump (weight) and buy the headers without a the "air tube" junction. Or buy them with the air tube provision and just put a block off plate on it.
But if your staying with cats them you will probable be keeping the pump, so you'll need the headers with "air tube" provisions.

Thanks...

In 2000 GM moved the location of the RH AIR inlet for some reason, so your old tube will not line up with the new RH header. From what I understand LG only makes one header, and that's for the late model set up. Not a big deal to swap out other than the bolt that holds the pipe to back of the block is PITA to get to. Just for your info it's a 13mm, I lost a socket trying to get it lose,

Here's a great DYI link

Yes they do, I'd suggest getting them ceramic coated as well, it will help a ton for underhood temps.

If you get the TSP's and want to get them coated, I'd go with Swaintech. Buddy had his coated by them and I literally grabbed the header after a 3 hour drive and it was hot, but didn't burn me. I couldn't believe it. And yes I do dumb **** "in the name of science." lol
