Recently got my 03 up and runnin w/EPS cam and some diy 241s. Originally I
had intended to stay w/ported manifolds since I was on a budget. Last minute
I decided to purchase some BBK 1.75 ceramic coated shorties. The factory
cats only have 15 thou on them and the car had a Corsa x and Pace Car axle
back when I bought it in Dec. 10. Now I know the whole long tubes vs. short
arguement but these were only 400 instead of 1400 like the Melrose stuff I
wanted. Anyways they fit well, dropped 25 lbs off the nose, and look decent,
but didn't come with a collector donut. The factory manifold donut while it
would have worked it only measured 2 and 5/16" ID. Considerably smaller than
both the collector and the factory exhaust flange. After a trip to NAPA and
some catalogue searching we found that 31508 gasket matched perfectly and
measures 2 & 9/16 ID. These were $10 each and worked well. Just wanted to
share this with anyone considering a similar header purchase.
