Default getting front wheels to lift

on a C4, would taking out the front sway bar make a big enough of a difference in getting the front wheels to lift?, I've got some centerline front skinnies on now, my 60' times are 1.7 now and the car just squats and goes, but I would like to get the front wheels up, let me know soon, got races tomorrow, thanks

What is your hp / tq
What is your trap speeds
That would give us a better estimation

I havent had the car dynoed but the stuff I put on should give it about 450.. so I'd say around 400 hp and tq to the ground, I put in a hughes turbo 350 race trans and a baloon plate 4000 stall converter and 3.75 gears, there is no tpi, I converted it over to carb. (800cfm), the et's are 12.80's @ 106 on a 26" tall tire @5500rpm, I built the motor to be a nitrous engine and I'm trying to get as quik as possible before I throw on the 28" tall tires and 175 shot, I swear I felt the left front tire lift about an inch and toutch back down, last time I wuz out there, the front suspension is all the way extended when I'm leaving the line, I'm wondering if taking out the front sway bar would make a difference in getting it to lift like it does on f-bodies.

btw, the times seem slow for the hp the car is putting out but beleive me you loose allmost a full second at this track, it sucks

I could be wrong, so forgive me if so, but it is my basic understanding that in the quest for the lowest et, it is most desirable to keep both front wheels as close to the ground as possible while allowing full suspension travel. (run-on sentence)
I've dabbled in chassis tuning, and some of the quickest cars I've ever seen allow for SLIGHT front end lift(for maximum weight transfer) and then settle down really quick(for maximum aerodynamics). I know that quickly lifting the tires probably won't kill the run, but deciding on a chassis tune based soley on the desire to do so may not be the best option. Just my .02

I agree with you Z06Killer, the corvette has the best chassis I've ever seen for all types of racing, and the way it grabs and just gets into forword momentum is ideal, but, I would like to have a picture of the front wheels up just for ***** and giggles

ok, so I checked it out closely and it looks like the vette has more strucural use of the sway bar than the camaro, so I didnt take it off, ran the drags last night and got some better times, ran a few 12.6's @106 w/ 1.78 60', dont know if I can get much faster on the motor, I think its time I throw the 28" slicks on and the 150 shot, if I get in the 11.0's I might up the shot just to crack a 10.xxx, we'll see.......
