Any year more preferable on a C6 Z06?
Looks like I have a serious buyer for my GXP so the hunt begins in April for a Z06.
Any years to look at or stay away from that anyone knows of? Only mods I have planned are CAI kit, UDP, 160° stat and tune. Other than that it will be gas, fluids and drive for the most part.

The 06/07 Z06 still has the T56 transmission. This isn't a downfall, just limits your horsepower making potential. A TR6060 will swap right in its place later, it is just another added cost if you want to exceed 750rwhp. The 2008 has the TR6060 but a less adequate fluid return location. Again not much of a downfall. Just a difference. In 2009 they added larger spline outer axles stubs which made the C6 shafts stronger. The fluid return line on the trans was moved to the front of the transmission which is the best location for it for cooling and lubrication. The 09+ cars are louder too because GM switched exhaust manufacturing companies. Those are the major differences that I know of. I really only know about the drivetrain specs since that is what I deal with. As far as I know other than some asthetics in the interior the rest of the car is fairly similar year to year.
Hope that helps.

the planned mods are a great idea, the cai , 160 , udp and tune will make a big difference and keep the reliability very high, for the most part 08+ is your best bet . Just went through this for a friend of mine a few months ago and he got a jet stream blue 08 zo6

They are all great, just look out for Z06s built between 1/07 to 7/07 they are known to have rocker arm issues.
I at first only wanted 09+ because it had the T6060 but for my goals/what yours seems to be of just bolt ons its not worth the extra money. But it all depends on your budget, mine was 45k and under so I bought a very low mileage 06
