Default Difference in springs.

I am upgrading the swaybars and shocks on my base FE1 suspension with BMR bars, and Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks, but do I need to change the leaf springs to get the really good handling. Unfortunately she did not have the Z51 suspension package! I know the swaybars and shocks will help a whole lot, but will the stock springs leave it too soft for good canyon carving?

Will it be just fine with the sways and shocks?

Is there actually a different leaf for the Z51 suspension, or am I mistaken?

And finally, where is a good place to get the new springs?

Thanks guys!

I would recommend going with the springs as well. Check out the Corvette Forum C5 parts for sale section. You should be able to come up with some used Z06 springs for around $500.

Springs complete the package. I ran mine without springs for a while. Although stiffer, it seemed to get softer the harder it was pushed. The Z51 springs made a big difference. Almost zero roll now.
