Hey guys. I recently picked up an 02 Z06. Love the car! Picked up a tt kit and had my base dyno done. No turbos on it yet thou. I knew it was strong but more than I thought. 496 hp and tq on a mustang dyno. Slp long tubes plus a air filter is all I can see from the hood, but drives like a race car 2800 rpm and up. Below 2000 its like a 3 banger. What could be done to reach these numbers?

 

Based solely on the accuracy of your description I'd have to say that's a 383
I feel if it was still a 346 making close to 500 that maybe it'd still be soft on
power at 3 and 3500 rpms. Just a guess...........

 

Kind of what I was thinking except I've never seen a stroker with matching tq and hp numbers.

 

Get that thing to hook up, it could run bottom 10's with the right tires\gear.

I have a 383 stroker with 480/450 tq running 10.6

Ya it wasa long way from home at a dealer and was NOT coming home empty handed lol. Looking into tires but want 17x11 rims.
