Your car is pretty sick. I was thinking about going crazy with this thing and doing a C6 ZO6 rear, engine rebuild and supercharger, trans work, clutch, etc but I will hold off. I want to see how the market goes for a C6 ZO6 in a couple years and maybe sell this. How are those coil overs for launching the car? Regular street use? Up here is CT its a shitty ride. Plenty of pot holes and ripped up roads.
Thanks man. Should you keep it, the C6 setup is the bees knees. But if you have your heart set on a C6....just hold out...prices should drop some.
For me, the car was a Z51...with the coilovers, for my type driving, it was amazing....but we don't have bad roads here....only time i have a bump is when I'm on highway and I hit a new piece of concrete or something. I did daily drive it like that ...and never regretted the mod. Ask around up there and see if someone has some experience with the roads and that setup there.

My plans are pretty simple.
Just picked up my nitrous kit today...going with a 150 shot
Going with a custom grind cam and tune from RPM(Ryans Performace Machines) out or Garner, NC
Kooks 1 7/8 Headers
Kooks X-pipe
FAST 102/102
3.90 Gears
Nitto Invo's
and once things settle down with me getting out of the Marine Corps, I will go ahead and upgrade axles then get a set of heads to max it out.
Looking forward to seeing the progress of the cars posted in the thread.

Took the top off for the first time in what feels like a year or so. Felt great.
Doing a ecm swap, getting my custom truss finished for this summer, new ball joints, new wheel bearings and possibly getting my custom one off hood finished and painted.
What yall know about that gen 1 sbc c4 lol. Need to get back to autox.

Check out Bare Essentials Racing - The owner Cajun is a really cool guy, he sells Ported Ls6's to Ported FAST intakes and matching throttle bodies. His prices are decent as well.
Longtubes is a great idea - I would recommend ARH but if you're on a budget and really want some quality Longtubes check out XSPower: http://shop.huronspeedproducts.com/X...-XSPC5LTHS.htm
Sway bars+ Shocks/Struts would be a great addition - one that you would feel.
The tunnel plate does well I currently have an Elite2 tunnel plate and it does its job.
I would also recommend looking into Pfadt Trans Mount (this will help put your power to the ground big time and will help against the known hop/ drivetrain shake in our cars.) Also, don't forget to look into getting a new clutch to hold the new power. The stock clutches on the C5's weren't amazing. Take a look at Monster clutches - I have their stage 2 and it's a perfect fit. Have fun man - she'll be a beast when you're done.

Where can I get the Pfadt Trans Mount? Any part numbers and prices would be great. I am on some what of a budget and the XS headers are the exact ones im looking at. I have an A4 with 3.15, so I was toying with the idea of a c5Z diff swap with a yank ss3200 to 3600 stall. I already have the heads, was able to get them from a c6 owner with roughly 4k on them, damn near new. The cam I picked up from a c5z owner, so sell it and go with a custom grind? Ideally I want the stealthy idel for my Vette. The TA will be the moster down the line.

Go for the MGW. I love that shifter and I am sure other MGW owners will tell you the same thing.

Well, I did exactly what I said I'd do and drove it like I stole it. Ended up breaking the spider gears in the posi unit. Now I have an RPM Stage III differential with upgraded ZR1 spider gears on order.
Never a dull moment.
