Hey guys, I am relativily new to the LS1 community. I just bought this 99 c5 targa about three weeks ago. After some spirited driving, it started making this noise:


Could it be a bad cat? It has been stalling on me and while we were installing a new exhaust, my friend pointed up that a rattle (like marbles in a tin can) was coming from near the cat. However, this sounds like its coming from the engine.

very possibly a cat. I would check that first.

Sounds like something rattling around inside a container. Cat or something in the bell housing? Get it on a lift and do more listening.
