I want to be able to run them on the street if I feel like it. Hate the idea of having a set of wheels and tires I can only use at the track.

for reference, I cross the trap at 138 6200rpm with 3:42s with a 26.8" tire.
I'll like to plug that into a calculator myself just for curiosity

With your MN12's 0.56:1 sixth gear and a 28.0 inch rear tire the following are the RPMs you will be turning at 70, 75, and 80 mph:

3.73 Differential

70 - 1,755
75 - 1,880
80 - 2,006

3.90 Differential

70 - 1,835
75 - 1,966
80 - 2,097

Good luck with your decision.

Id much rather run a bias on a vette at the track. Less chance of wheel hope and much easier on the drivetrain. I get what your saying tho, Thats why I run ZR1's and GTO spares. Cheap and effective so I dont feel bad about not using them but once a month or so.

Exactly, just going to put a 3.73 and a 26" tire talked to my brother and a buddy we agreed that with a 3.73 I'd be way better off. I'd have more room for a shot and if I need to for the spray I can still put a 28" tire.
