The precision driving experience held by General Motors at Fontana Speedway was a rare event. Drivers who were invited got to drive on two slalom courses and a track course. On the big oval I managed to get to 120 mph in turn one. Keep in mind there is a pace car keeping us from going flat out. The car, equipped with a manual trans and performance suspension, was solid and smooth. Rev matching made for effortless downshifts. The push button e-brake is counterintuitive and the complex array of data on the dash is fussy. HUD was bright, sharp and well-positioned. I was pinching myself the whole time, it's a little crazy to put a person on a racetrack with ANY car, let alone a 2014 Vette!!!
