9 Second all Motor C6 Z06 **Video**
I am at the track weekly and every once in a while I see a car that impresses me. Well this car is a new level of overkill. C6 Z06 with factory ls7 short block. No nitrous/boost. Car has heads/cam/intake and RPM auto. With a 1.2 60 foot and a 9 second pass... WOW. Check it out:
1.288 60' is awesome! Haven't seen a manual 60' that well.
Unfortunate the C6Z06 didn't come from the factory with an automatic. I would have owned one. My manual 2012 for me just didn't work out.

Yeah, its difficult for a stick vette without the smooth torque multiplication of the torque converter and the harder hit the clutch accounts for.
Here's a 1.34 in a manual cam-only c5Z on a narrow tire.

This setup could possibly see 1.2x's on kill under the right track conditions but it would be difficult. Another 50+ hp would help.
Jared has seen a 1.2x with a big nitrous hit in his c6Z. The problem is the clutch must slip significantly to achieve this and this will cause a conventional clutch to lose a good portion of its life.
As mentioned above, it could be done easier with the right drag race parts and suspension which will take a fair amount of time, money, and experience.
