Can a 2002 C5 auto be upgraded with 3.42 gears by using a Zo6 differential?

yes it can be. you must re-tune if you are currently running the standard axle ratio and possibly if you are running the optional performance ratio(3.15); some cars were ok without compensation some were not

 

yes, I have one in my 2003 Z06 which I swapped over to an auto

RPM did the work and it's a very nice gear for the auto.

I'm running pretty big power now so I also have a 3.15 that might work better for my flying mile stuff
