Blowing smoke

Buddy's car; he bought a used motor and swapped on his heads to the block. Comp cam installed while it was apart.

idles ok, but smoking. Previous owner says he sprayed the bottom end with wd40.

Your thoughts?

Pull the plugs. Are you sure its smoke and not steam? It looks like smoke to me but if it's steam it changes what you are looking for.
