cost for a z06 targa or convert. conversion?

anyone have a ballpark idea how much it would run to convert a z06 into a targa top or a convertible. the fact that they are a FRC is the only deterrent from me getting one. just saw an actual z06 convertible on ebay, FWIW.

Check out www.caravaggiocorvettes.com and see what they have to offer.At one time about 2 years ago it was around 13K for a convertible conversion and maybe half of that for a targa top conversion.

One reason i wouldnt do that is the fact that it never seems as "tight" as they come from the factory. And being the Z06 was built around the fixed roof body structure, i wouldnt mess with the rigidity of that just for the open top feel. Just my .02

yeah, i would imagine that would be the case and the cost to benefit ratio would probably advise me to just get a convertible and mod that up to where i want it to be.
