Service Traction Control and Active Handling Message
I have a 2000 Corvette. For the past 4 years I have been getting this message displayed and the engine power decreases. When I stop the engine and restart this sometimes temporarily solves the problem. I have had the throttle position and accelerator pedal position sensors replaced along with some rodent chewed wiring. These were done by my local GM dealership after checking the diagnostic codes. 4 days after picking the car up it did it again. My question is if a code is set from say from a sensor in the HVAC system or the seat control module for an open circuit or poor ground can this cause the PCM to teporarily inhibit the traction control system?

ABS sensors at the axles.. all it takes is a weak one or a bad connection and the TCS computer can go into the weeds with false sensing errors.
On my Both my last Chevy and current BMW I have to clean the connectors for the sensors about every 2 or 3 years and repack the connector with dielectric grease..
