Default C5 LS1 123k miles Engine Question

Hi All. My 2000 Corvette has 123k miles on it. I keep up with the oil changes and had it recently inspected..the car is in great shape. However, I want to give it a bit more speed (not for street racing). Should I be looking to a newer engine (LS2, LS3 and etc)? Rebuild and add a few mods? Does it need to be rebuilt at all? Advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

If it's in good working order then you should be good to go. Just do some mods, get a good tune, and enjoy

Longtube headers, LS6 intake manifold, get a tune, change the oil, and maybe upgrade the valve springs as the stockers may be tired by now. Then beat it like it owes you money
