1976 Vette Tranny
1976 Vette Tranny The vette has a 350 in it and we want to get a better tranny in there. Will a 6-speed fit up, i know its hydrolic and everything, but how hard/expensive would it be if we were going to do all of the work. Or are there any other options we could do, like a 5 speed? Thanks guys.

I have an LS1 and T56 in my '70. It's a lot more work (and $) than just swapping transmissions. If you want to go with a "budget" overdrive, people have put Mustang T5s in for well under $1k. (http://home.comcast.net/~ddecart/Transmission.html)
