Auto shifting issue

Auto shifting issue So my 08 auto Vette goes from park into reverse, neutral and drive perfectly fine. Once in drive you have to push it to reverse to get to neutral and it never finds reverse. To get to reverse you have to go to park the go back to reverse.
What can I do to fix the issue?

Sounds like the neutral safety switch is going bad to me. It could be loose too. I have put a couple on my Silverado thru the years. Hard to say though without being there.
