Default Corvette help

I know this isn't the forum for this, but I'm helping a guy I work with build an '84 Vette (C4) and figured maybe someone here can help me/us. He wants to put a big block in the car, 502/502 crate engine. My question is: Does anyone make mounts for this or do I have to fabricate them? Making them up is not really a problem, but if someone makes a mount it would be a ton easier. Any other hints or suggestions would be appreciated. Even if it's directing me to a publication or a better site to get this information. Thanks!

I was thinking about doing the same thing a couple of years ago. I called a co that used to make the mounts and they told me not to waste my time. You can get more out of a 454 sbc than wasting time dropping in a big block. I agreed and put in a 427 sbc and was very glad. I can't remember the name of the kit though, something like king cobra?

Give Sallee Chevrolet a call in OR they can tell you if it will work and if it will they will have the part.

I agree that you would get better performance from a SBC motor. The C4 has great weight distribution and a BBC would kill that. A good 427 stroker can send that car deep into the 10's and with N20 into the 9's.

Wont even need something that big. Granted, you'll have to put more boost or spray to it to achieve the same goal w/ more cubes, but a mild 355, 377, 383 or 396 can get the job done for most of your performance needs.
