oo a/4 just adding a 224 cam, any other cam only guys have gains from this mod. best pass 12.86 @ 109 mph [ cold air & predator ]

Do you mean bolt-ons & upgraded camshaft with OE Heads (as in my case) or without bolt-ons and adding upgraded cam?

IMHO, you need LT Headers along with a cam upgrade. Yet, if you have LT Headers, then you need a good aftermarket CAI system. So, an upgraded cam install on otherwise stock 00 A4 will not reach full potential. However, with a logical selection of bolt-ons, including LT Headers, a cam upgrade (w/OE Heads) will see gains. My 01 C5 Coupe, A4 (3.42) has 395.2rwhp/373.8rwtq and OE Heads. See page 2 in SIG link for perf mods.

well its not like its going to slow you down but I'd do the LT's first, and if you do get a cam at least put in some hardened pushrods too (I've broken pusrods before so now I'm allways concerned about them, also put on some dual springs and roller rockers but that's getting up there in the $$ department)

I had LG Motorsports install the G5X-3 (114) cam, very aggressive & very tuneable, and their pkg includes Comp 921 Dual Valve Springs, Chromoly Push Rods, Titanium Retainers, and LS1 Timing Chain.

Cam and headers with 4400 stall and 4.10 rear ls6 intake, and vararam running mid to low 11's at 120ish

See I'm going to go against the grain on this one. There is a guy on Z06.com that installed a G5x3 and a halltech and got 403rwhp after tuning. I would argue that the stock exaust is not that restrictive. GRANTED you are leaving some HP on the table but $$ for HP you are ahead.

My plan is this:

MTI Stealth II cam
Zip tie mod
ORP X pipe
Tuning.

Tuning you'd need on the headers anyways so I'm looking at about a grand and I bet I get around 380rwhp on my 01. Now that is a 40rwhp increase considering stock is approx 340rwhp. Headers MAY give you the same but your looking at a grand for the cheapest setup and I don't know if it will give you more.

Now when I get headers/pulley/TB I bet I'll be over the 400rwhp mark of course this is with LS6 heads.

Although I wouldn't be suprised if I just say screw it and try the G5X-3 or F13 cam instead of the Stealth cam. The stealth cam is ultra budget because it wouldn't require tuning right away.....

Also if I had an auto and was interested in drag racing I would use Regars' formula of headers and converter. BUT you have an FRC so I'm assuming you just want some "umph" for the street.

JMHO I'll post results this winter and we'll se if I'm an idiot or not
