LPE/BB Headers- Any info?

LPE/BB Headers- Any info? I have a 2000 A4 C5 and was wondering if anyone has tried the LPE headers or the headers they had on sale a few weeks ago, which I have been told are made by B&B? The sale on the B&B headers was around $800.00 or so, as I recall, but they don't look like the LT's LPE has sold for years. The sale said, or so I thought anyway, that the headers were the "traditional" LPE LT's. Does anyone have any experience with the B&B brand? Thanks, as always.
not with their headers. their exhaust systems are fine if you like the sound they produce.
if your looking for headers i suggest Melrose or TPiS. both are around 800 normally, not on sale. they come coated and work well. fit is very good on both. the main reason i recommend these two is because random tech offers a cat system for both those headers and having a cat system that fit the headers can be a problem some times. its much worse on fbodies, but can be a problem with vettes too.
to get down to the nitty gritty, melrose has a three inch collector and using a 3inch cat. it necks down to 2-3/4 after the cat. TPiS has 2-3/4 collectors and the cat system is 2-3/4. this is using random tech cats

I guess the point I am trying to make is for years LPE has sold stainless headers for the C5 for around 1200 or so. Recently they had a "sale" proce of around 700. I bought a set thinking that I was getting the headers they have marketed for years, and got Billy Boat Brand. Upon seeing another set of LPE headers on e-bay for sale/auction, the pics looked totally different than the BB type I bought. If the headers I got for 7-800 are what is alway been sold at LPE, cool. But if they implied that the headers on sale were the ones they have marketed for years and I got BB Brand, that's not cool. I know the e-bay pics are subject to an error of some sorts down the line, wrong pics with right pipes, etc, but would really like to know what I just bought and if they are worth mounting or not. They do have a lot of "patch" welding on the tubes where they are all just seamless tubing on LG, Kooks, etc. This is an expensive, convertible C5 and I want good looking/performing pipes/products on it. I talked to Ed at LPE and he said they have always sold this brand, but was unclear on whether or not they were the 1200 set for nearly half off. Please advise. Thanks.
got me on that one. id be a little worried too though. id want to make sure they were the LPE headers. it wouldnt suprise me if B&B built the headers for them as a private label. Borla is private labeling LGs Pro LTs. as far as seemless well thats your call. they arent very noticeable on a C5 with the fuel rail covers over them so the seamless part doesnt matter to me. fit, finish, build, and quality matter to me more.
I have a set of the LPE headers on my car. I bought them used about a 1 1/2 years ago and paid $900 used for them.

I have the same LPE headers as Greg. I bought mine used and found out that they were built by B&B. The welds that I have are on the collectors and the flanges. Post pics and maybe we can give you an answer to your questions.
