c5 vs mustang i'm going to race
97 mustang 6spd. full bolt on . procharger 10-11 psi .
my mod.
98 c5 a4 trans. 373 gear -3200 stall - a&a FMIC procharger 7-8 psi -LT headers - off road xpipe -loud mouth exhaust - z06 intak -
so what do ya thing a bout this race ? is easy to beat em'
1st race -0-600
2ed race - 40-800

0 - 600 huh. you all are gonna be racing for a long time. 97 mmustang stock bottom end now heads no cams with that blower I see putting out close to 400 rwhp.
With your car most of those mods would get you into the 330 - 340 rwhp range. Then adding a blower is worth at least another 75 - 80 hp putting up around 420 or so in a 300 pound lighter car. If you get the traction leaving the hole you have it won easy. If you have to play catch up Id say around 300 mph you should have him beat! :jester:

Even with the extra power, #1 it all comes down to driver. #2 I think w/ the C5 being lighter, having an stalled auto and good gears that he should be seeing taillights the entire run.
And if you're racing to 600mph or hell even kmh, I just hope you have more road then anything else lol.

Are you talkin Kilo's or Miles? Either way, that just sounds like an INSANE speed for a public road. Ultimatly, I say find a track and run him there that way all the variabales are gone as if this were a street race. And if this is a street race, Im not going to tell you what to do, but I personally would race to about 100-120 mph and call it done.

Its cool indy, I believe you're from the middle east, if im not mistaken. Its just I dont want myself, or the site to get in trouble for telling others to find a street and just have @ it. Even internationally, its not a wise thing to do.

If the 97 Mustang is a GT you will walk him easy, they were dogs putting out less than 200rwhp, at most hes going have is 300 with the blower, 340 or so with a blower cam and heads, if its a Cobra 32v you might have a race on your hands, Ive seen a few vorteched hit 450+ rwhp. If he swapped out the t45 five speed for a t-56 six speed hes giving up about 10 horsepower to get the reliability of the t-56.Have fun, be safe!
