Fuel Pump question...?

Fuel Pump question...? I know the f-bodies are very sensitive to running the tank low. Lots of folks burning up fuel pumps...
Are the C5s similarly problem prone? I'm asking because my gas gage went from an 1/8 of a tank to 0 almost instantly and I drove a ways to find a station...
I guess I should search on the fuel gage...

I've just experienced similar symptoms but more dramatic. My guage was reading 1/2 tank and then suddenly while on Hwy it started showing empty and low fuel + check guages.
What is the fix for something like that and what is the cause??????

My gauges have done that when I drive different. I have not had a pump fail on me yet. Now I have had the sensor inside the tank (or float) stick on me once. But that was from replacing my pump when i installed the blower and the bigger injectors. Had a full tank of gas in it but it showed only a half tank. The float in teh left tank got stuck. Anyway, i would think its more of a computer problem then a pump progblem honestly. They have changed my fuel level depending on how I drive. Especially if I drive hard then park it then drive easy. Its kinda funny to watch it do that. I think it tried to predict your usage on your driving at those points. I think.

Well I read that high sulfur content gas will cause those symptoms and that there is no cure (besides better gas).
I will try using another brand we have here that contains cleaners in the mix.
That **** freak me out. Mind you the tank was not empty and had at least 5>6 gallons left in it.

Yes its Mag Red and I love this color.
LOL I reread my post I think I had a bit to drink last night. You live in Dubai huh. Must be nice. Been wanting to visit there. Almost moved there for work till I was relocated to Kuwait a few years ago. Alot of nice cars running around out there.
