Death over the holidays... On Dec 24th, an ex-Neuse River CC club member and his wife were killed in their vette. He was heading back in town on I-95 S when an 18-wheeler merged onto the interstate and caused him to lose control, hit a pilar on the bridge then fall off about 30 feet and land upside down. The driver of the 18-wheeler was later found, and arrested as he went more than 50 miles, and 3 counties away from the accident.
He was an ex-police officer, who had served in the US Army, and was currently working with the US Marshals office. He was supposed to be retired by Jan 2nd.

Very sorry to hear this . Nobody deserves to die like that. I'm sure the truck driver will get the proper sentence for his irresponsible actions. Not much of a way to make it right , though.
Not all truckers are bad. My buddy drives an 18-wheeler and is typically pulling a low-boy hauling track hoe's, or back hoe's for his grading and demolition company. Now in his 94 Cobra on the other hand, he drives like a F'n moron!
