Default Newbie ?s

Just bought '99 A4 C5 w/ 22,000 miles a few weeks ago. Just have a few simple ?s
1. While the ride/handeling is alot better than my '98Z it is not as smooth as I would have hoped. Sometimes the ride is perfectly smooth and then othertimes (esp. going over bumps/changing lanes etc.) the car jerky and pulls a little bit. The stock Goodyears are pretty much shot, can I expect this to go away w/ some new rubber?

2. Just did first oil change & still getting annoying "change oil now" message. Any way to reset this w/out taking to the dealer and getting ripped off for every oil change

3. Also I really want to get some vinyl inserts for the lettering on back of the car and some crossed flag decals for my wheels. Does anyone know a good place to get a good deal on these.

Thanks

Jason

1. New tires and an alignment will definately help although it maybe just your not used to the car yet, after have 4 modded 4th gen F-bodies, the vette is still hard to get used to. Its amazing how it can be so forgiving and at the same time so on "edge" all the time, the rear goes out with ease....

Also if you didn't have larger tires on the F-body then you may not have experience the "Groove wonder" larger tires will do this, also the run flats that come stock are not known for there "gentle ride" If I had a regular vette that is probably the first thing I'd do is get some Kumho MX's or if performance is your game the Nitto RII's.

2 and 3 as much as I LOVE this board, you will probably get some good answers to these questions at corvetteforum.com. I'm sure you have to use the Reset button on the DIC in some way to stop the message from coming up.

Congrats on the new car, I haven't regretted my purchase one bit

Bobby

Thanks for the help. I have looked at other forums and it looks like Kuhmo is the way to go but I can not decide b/w the MX or the ASX. We don't get alot of winter weather here in Carolina but this is my daily driver and there is occasionally some ice/winter mix. Also while I want I good permance, I might be willing to give up a little bit of performance for smoother ride & better tread life. Definately not looking to get another set of run-flats.
