Please explain ... "but not as much give as an ET Street", I'm not flaming here just wanting some info. I like my Kumho MX's but was thinking about some Nitto 555R's once my tread wears down.

TIA,

Yes,I will bet, have already done it with a few customer's Z06's Of course I probly have over 300 passes in 6 speed cars

I find Nitto's to work real good if you get the tire pressure set right,Too much/too little pressure will induce wheelhop causing the rear to break.Luckilly mine has been great with multiple 1.6 60's

What kind of tire pressure do you use?

Also I got a locking lug ?

What size do I need 14mm x 1.5
or 1/2"

?

Thanks

Each tire is different.I would start at 25psi and go down from there till the tires spin smoothly out of the hole.

I launch my car on the limiter with ET Streets and haven't hurt the rear yet.It has 30+ passes with 60's in the 1.57-1.63 range.I recommend a shifter, the stock ones make it very easy to hurt the tranny, especially on the 2-3 powershift.I found that out the expensive way .

I get 26-27 mpg on the freeway with 4.10's.

Awesome deal on the car BTW and the wheels and electron blue look really nice.

Thanks slowhawk.....

Dave, its got a Breathless performance shifter........I like it a lot, still getting used to speed shifting with it, its even shorter than the pro 5.0 that I had in my hawk back in the day....I drove a Z06 a while back with a stock shifter, thats like rowing a boat.....lol....

Drag radials are sticky but they have a stiff sidewall. ET Streets are sticky but they have a very soft sidewall , so they "give" when you let the clutch out and absorb some of the shock. I'm not saying that you will definitely break your car with drag radials , but cars that do break have drag radials more often than not.

I'm not trying to be a jerk , but let me get this straight ; You've run 11's in a couple of different Z06's with 19" wheels and Michelin tires , in the mid-west? Even if you have , we're not talking about you driving his car , we're talking about HIM driving his car. We don't get the DA here that you get on the East coast or in Texas. I'm speaking from experience with a similar wheel/tire combination. Since he has no track experience with his car , he's on 19" wheels with Michelins and he won't see good air at a good track any time soon , I don't see him running any quicker than 12.50. Even if he does , it won't be anywhere near 11.99. But what do I know? It's not like I've ever gotten one of these cars to make a good run at the track.

The Z06 isn't quite at all, from the road noise from the weight savings to the exhaust note.....I'm enjoying its "stockness" so far......

I might have to throw it on the dyno.....

Try adding the Pro LG LT O/R Header System + Borla Stinger, then your Vette won't be so quiet.
