How hard is it to remove the door molding strip on C5 Corvettes? Are there any holes to fill or is it just on with adhesive. I think they look way cleaner without the moulding, and if I'm considering shopping for a C5 I want to make sure I have the option of removing the moulding, or getting a car without it in the first place. Just figured I'd have more options if it were easily removed. Thanks.

The newer the car, the easier the moldings will be to remove. My 98 was pretty difficult, not so much the removal of the molding, but the removal of the adhesive it left behind! It took a total of four hours to remove it all! You simply peel it off bit by bit with your thumb and fingers, then use some sort of solvent to remove what is left.
The car definitely looks cleaner without it! I removed my molding the day after I got my car.
