Gas mileage affect? How much RWHP loss? What would the car top out at with 4.10?

Pro
Much Quicker Acceleration
Lower E.T.'s
Useable 6th Gear

Con
Possible "whine" introduced if not installed correctly <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
More prone to breaking
Harder to hook up on street tires

I doubt you'll have an unacceptable amount of decreased gas mileage. I had 4.10's in my '94 Trans Am and my gas mileage didnt change at all.

Whine is a non-issue if the gears are set up properly.

Weakness is a concern of mine, nobody has made a 10 tooth pinion gear for the C5, there could be a reason for that.

With our great 6th gear, I don't think gas mileage will be a problem. The F-body guys are reporting differences of 1-2 mpg with 4.10s (or is it 4.11s?). I think tires will be more of an issue... LIGHT 'EM UP! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">
