How does the C5 suspension work???

How does the C5 suspension work??? I am just curious about the IRS suspension on the C5. I have heard it doesn't like hard launches.
I think this will be my next project, and would like to start doing some research.

Re: How does the C5 suspension work??? If the car is near stock power wise it'll launch pretty damn good imo...needs real rubber, though.
It's when the car is more modified that the IRS starts to get in the way of a good launch. Because of the design, it'll make the back end hop like mad. This axle hop will definitely break things and keep the 60' times up. Also, the halfshafts are easy to break compared to a solid axle car.
