Corvette guys I need some input and tech info please. Ok I have a 02 WS6 and love it. My girl is wanting to get a vette (not to take the place of the TA, I have big plans for it, but for her, us, whatever) and unlike the F-Bodies I don't know as much about them. Like on the F-Bods the 01 and 02's are the best ones to get as far as having the LS6 intake, ZO6 clutch, better oil pump, rod bolts, or whatever. So I assume the 01 up C5s are the better ones as well. Since the production on the C5 continued past 02 were there any significant changes made on the 03 up models? Another thing, the 01 ZO6 is the weaker of them right? I'm pretty sure the 02 and up Z's are the 405hp ones. I'm really keeping my eyes peeled for a ZO6. I had made up my mind that it should be an 01 or up C5, or a 02 or up ZO6 for the reasons I stated above. Any and all input will be appreciated, along with prices for different year and mileage C5s and Z's. Thanks fellas

You can look at my sig to see if my answer qualifies for you. You are correct on the 01's and up C5's getting the upgrades thanks to the LS6 (just like the fbody). The only negative on the 01 Z is the oil burn issue (just like the fbody). Basically, you need to answer these questions, do you want a stick or auto, do you want a coupe or vert or FCR, does it matter if it is a Z, how much do you want to spend. Answer those and we can give you some advice.

Has to be a 6 speed, coupe, no verts, want a ZO6 if the price and miles are right. Looking at spending up to $30,000-$35,00, of course the lower the better. As far as FCR, I don't know what that is. Thanks again.
