LS1 "normal" noise

LS1 "normal" noise For all those people who bought a brand new LS1 F-body or vette and have noticed a tapping or ticking or a similar noise to which the dealer said was normal please goto the link below.

Re: LS1 "normal" noise The cold piston slap never bothered me. Goes away after about 60-90 seconds.
I'd rather GM fix other stuff on my car first, like giving me a new clutch or oil pump. The knock can stay as far as I care.

Well mine gave way. Coolant got to the oil. After the head removal they inspected the bore and found a one cyl. that a hone wouldnt fix. He said the piston noise must of coming from the bad cyl. I saw the new motor right next to the new one. Its going to a long block switch out. Block and head
32,000 miles, my lemon of a car now has a new axle,tranmission and a motor.
