Fireball,How about some details on the car?Auto or 6-speed,solid roller or hydraulic?Is it a Z06 or regular C5,does it have a roll bar?I'm wondering how much the car weighs?What did it dyno?

Dynoed over 480 RWHP (don't recall the actually numbers off the top of my head)

My understanding is that he threw his timing chain at the end of a run <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> during practice runs Fri night.

Fireball,When my car had 3.73's it would pull 100mph in the eighth,with the 410's it dropped my 1/8 mph and added mph up top,the two full runs the MTI car made it went 11.11 at 120 and 11.22 at 124mph,maybe it needs 410's also since the trap speed is low compared to the 1/8 mph.I don't know what damage the motor has yet,hopefully just the valvetrain,it'll be a good excuse to put a bigger cam in it since I originally went with a mild cam when the motor was being built,I've since acquired a second vehicle so the vette is not my daily driver anymore.Just curious since MTI built this car what is your affiliation to it?Are you affiliated with MTI?

no...I've done some wrenching on Calvin's car in the past. He was looking for more OOMPH over his 382 stroker so I recommended he send it to MTI...thats all <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Fireball,I'd like to have you invite Calvin to bring his car to E-town on July 27th for the Quick 4 shootout at the Corvette Challenge,he just has to sign up for the points race and run in the first round of the Corvette Challenge,I also need to sign up for points.The morning session that day is the Vette magazine event,I think Calvin would have a lot of fun if he came down,how about it?There could be as many as five super strokers 415-427Cid running that day.The car needs to be NHRA legal and pass the decibel test,no open headers.What's the best time the car has gone?I heard it went 11.1 at 127 with open headers at Cecil on June 8th.I heard he's putting an automatic in it. <img border="0" alt="[Z06 Corvette]" title="" src="graemlins/z06.gif" />
