I am thinking about a 2002 ZO6, and every dealer that I talk to says that they can't grant my GM supplier discount....Is this a big crock, and if so, what dealers are willing to honor this discount?

 

It might not be a question of can they or can't they. They might not want to do it! Some dealers just want to sell cars for as much $ as they can and they don't care about their customers. I know of one person that has done this and he paid 43K for it, but it was a 2003 and he is still waiting.

I was told that Corvettes have not been allocated for the discount (especially not the z06 because it is a special vehicle)

A dealer can do it but it would have to be a vehicle that another customer backed out on. Some dealer's set up a waiting list for this discount and there is no telling how long that would take.

Try going to www.z06vette.com, they have a lot of dealers that are dying to sell z06's and they will almost definately do it. Check out the for sale section! They have some up for sale there and they have their incoming inventory listed! All you have to do is ask them. I am sure someone on there will do it for you.

 

i work for a GM dealership here in bowling green and can only say from experience that the vette of any make is not included in the GM supplier discount.

it is kinda like the SVT cobras lightning and the T-birds not getting the X buyers plan from ford.

I have also been looking for a dealer that would sell me a car at the GM discount. No luck so far. I did see an old listing by a Terry Ash on usedcorvettesforsale.com. It specificly noted the GM discount price (about $8000 below list). There are no new listings of this type now. I haven't given up yet!

 

I bought my vette using my GMS discount, so if anybody says a vette is exluded, they are full of sh&*@!!! And yes, you can buy a Z06 with GMS, you just need to find a dealer to work with you. I know of a few people that have bought Z06's with GMS.
What I did was contact every dealer in NJ, PA, NY, and DE asking what vettes they had in stock and if they would accept GMS, and was suprised that a few of them were willing to work with me. If you are serious about getting a vette, and using the GMS, it can be done.
