I bought a "LS6" intake on ebay for my '99 vert. The bottom of the intake is flat. However, it is recessed from where the bottom of the surface that mates with the heads-forms a u-shaped tunnel about 3/8" (or so) deep channel. The part# is 12573572, which is a discontinued number that several dealers have told me they cannot trace back. As far as I know, LS6 intake numbers all begin with "888".

I have never seen an LS6 intake to know exactly what the bottom looks like. I wish I could post a pic that shows what mine looks like, but I don't have that capability.

Any help would be appreciated.
