whats the best stall and intake for C5 HELLO GUYS NEED SOME HELP, HAVE A STOCK OO C5, with a4 315 gear, this spring want to start modifying 1st can someone give me info on a stall whats the best size stall, you would recommend for my gear size, my goal is mid to low 12s, and will it help with roll races with m6s, also can you recommend a intake this kid had a auto 02 c5 last summer at the track, with a intake called veraram he was trapping at 112 and 113 with two mods he had that power program and veraram and he had 12-7 12-8 ETS. he was beating my freinds zo6 i was very impressed because he didnt know how to drive, i know i wont be that fast, because 01s and up are lot faster to start, im trapping around 105 106 and best et 1330 so 109 110 in a auto would be great thanks.
Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 I can tell you from my experience that bone stock, I ran a best of 13.30 at 110 mph with only corsa touring exhaust. My car is a 1998 A4 with the 3.15 gear in it. I then put a 3.90 gear with hardened shaft, a 3600 vigilante stall convertor, and also went with the Vararam setup. I went 12.45 at 114mph. I picked up 4 mph with just the Vararam. I could have gotten a 12.20 if I would have installed a line lock, which I am planning on installing. With just a 75 shot of nitrous I went 11.88 at 118. It is actually pretty easy to run mid 12's in these cars. They make pretty good power bone stock.

Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 I am on corvetteforum all the time. It seems the majority of A4 like the 342 gears and the yank 3500 combo. With intake and exhaust and you should be where you want. Then your main issue becomes traction.

Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 I started with the Vortex ram air from Breathless Performance and a 172 thermo an ran 13.18 1/4mi.I then added a Corsa Indy Pro exhaust an ran a 12.92.Then I put in a PT2800 st with my 3.15 gears no programming ,ran 12.58 @110 mph.I drive a 99 a4 coupe.I would go with SY 3500.

Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 Stock I ran a 13.0x. Then added a SY3500, TPIS headers, blackwing intake, drag radials, and a few other bolt ons and managed a 12.18. With 3.73's and CCW's comming this week, I hope to get into the 11's with stock internals.

Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 BlownGs you'll love that 3:73 and you'll feel that difference. As far as the topic goes a vig 2800 stall would be a good setup with the mti true ram air.
Once you get that you'll feel the lack of horse power on the top end, and then you'll get into the internals.
97 h/c, 3:73 motive gear, 2800 vig, ls6 intake, mti ram air, tpis long tubes "currently cracked and annoying", borla xr1, 2002 z06 rims "light as hell" and every bolt on possible.

With the 3500 Vigilante, Blackwing and Corsa exhaust, my best in cold air was 11.99 @ 112.5. Also had a string of 12.0's to 12.2 at the same race.
Go for a big Vigilante converter (3500 or bigger), tune the shift points, etc. with LS1_Edit and you will have a low 12 sec car in the heat, 11's in the cool.

And either a Vara Ram, or a Blackwing. Vette magazine has a test in the latest issue w/ the Vara Ram (dunno specifics, just thumbed through the mag) check it out for particulars.

Re: whats the best stall and intake for C5 my 00 went 13.55@104mph stock, added vortech ram air and it went 13.00 and 13.10@108mph. added corsa's touring and cold weather in jan. it ran 12.89@107mph then backed it up with 12.94@108mph. as you se these cars are fast. ps i did this with 2.73's also. good luck with you mods.
