Your friend is full of it. No factory 427 Z06's yet. There was a run of special 427 ZL1 Camaro's in the last year.
Dick Guldstrand I believe had GM backing.
That is Dick in the Picture. Saw him again last year at Laguna.
Jay Leno's car if I recollect is a N/A 392. Mallet did the work I believe. Yes, Tiger Shark body. Early 01 or 02.
I have the first C5 Z06.
The Tiger Shark was up for sale recently. I believe this car was prepped for GM and not done by GM.
The article on LPE 427 is little old. Most of the good N/A 427-447 are running 50-150 more rwhp now.
How is that off the top of my head?
