Diffrence between, C5 and Z06...?
01 has a smaller cam than later ZO6s,.525 lift against 550.02-04 ZO6s have 55 hp more, redline 500 rpm higher have stiffer shocks and springs, larger non run flat tires. Many magazines showed they would pull 1 g on the test pad, compared to .90 for stock vette and .95 for Z51 equipped vettes.The six speed transmissions have different gear ratios, although both come with Getrag 3.42 rear ends.All models have front brake air ducts, only ZO6s have working rear ducts.The FRC body style has more wind resistance and even with the extra power will top out at 168 mph, compared to the coupes 173mph. More than 99% of Corvette owners will never come close to testing the limits of these cars, even those who road race would be put to shame by a professional driver.

I've gone 178mph, and 170's on several occasions...
