Default LS7 clutch swap

I am doing a LS7 clutch swap in my C5. My main question is when I put these parts in is this going to fix the grinding I get when I am trying to shift gears? I do know if there is a throw out bearing in these parts? If not will the ls1 bearing work?

your grinding is caused by worn synchro's, I hear the z06 m12 ones are the way to go..., looks like the bearing right next to the flywheel, you should also get a mcleod adjustable master and I'm not sure if the lines in your car will require the drill mod or not, cant remember if they changed on newer ones...

The throuwout bearing is attached to the end of the slave. it sits on the spring, and yes it is in the pic. A bad throwout bearing will rattle and roar and will not cause grinding during shifting. That would either be the slave not fully engaging or the transmission. Do a search, there is mixed opinions on the McLeod adjustable and the drill mod. I would get a Z06 master and not do the drill mod.

Make sure you bleed it really well. If your fluid looked real bad and the pedal feel was crappy, it possibly could be your clutch, but I'd say in most cases its the tranny.

if u don't have cash for a new tranny, i'd go with some synchromesh and lucas transmission additive, should fix a bit of grinding
