But i have to throw up the B.S. flag about that being a factory car.Without OBD-1 ,EFI,it would have to have it's own smog,gas guzzler tax and a ton of other testing just to sell on the street.That would cost GM a ton of money and test time.Throw the VIN number up there.

After you determine how much fuel pressure and plug texture, you may want to dig into the carb and see what primary/secondary jets and power valves are in it. Are you confident enough to do this? You may even be able to skip this step but at least you know where your carbs stand. I would say if your plugs only look slightly black and your fuel pressure is at 6 or 7 lbs., then you might just be able to adjust the idle mixture.
If you drive the car a bit, make a few WOT runs and your plugs are still dark you may have to jet down.
