Arrow Best header for lowered vettes

I have a 02 Z06(lowered 1") and would like to put on headers, exhaust....all the goodies. For those of you with lowered cars, which headers work best and have you had any problems with daily driving...speed bumps, uneven roadways, driveways......?
If any of you have any pics. of your header to ground clearance could you please post your pics?

Thanks

Keith

Dynatech long tubes fit well within the confines of the tunnel, no problems to date with clearance.

I've got the Kooks longtubes and 3" mid section. No problems here and I'm lowered 1 - 1.5 inches.

I have done FLPs, Stainless Works, Kooks, and LGs. Nothing fit tighter than the Stainless Works exhaust system. It was the only one I could not see when I kneeled down beside the car...

I have Melrose LT's with Random cats and my FRC is down all the way on the stoc bolts. I have not have any issues, but I do avoid speed bumps. My car is a daily driver.

Any header that uses the Band style clamps will likely have better clearance.
PM me and I will shoot a picture of the bottom of my Vette so you can see what a system may look like.

Nice reply,i'm lowered 4 inches,so clearance is a big issue with me,even if i have to sacrifice a few pony's.I will not raise the car.How much was your S/W header kit?Why did you switch?

My car has been lowered 2 inches and I just put LG LT's in today. They fit beautifully. My thanks go out to Lou at LGM for getting these things made. They fit perfectly. The install only took me 4 hours and I have never done anything like that before. It was great and a **** load of fun............I STRONGLY recommend the LG's......and if you don't want to pay the required arm and leg, you can get the street series which I hear aren't much different from the Pro series!

Pleawe forgive how dirty my car is. It snowed yesterday and the roads are covered with sand, etc.

Now to the headers! The bottom of the car to the ground is about 3 inches! So take a look at how well the LG's tuck under the car and remember that my car is way low.......What do you think? It also looks like I got to get back under there and tie up that 02 sensor wire better.

Awesome Jon,
Thanks so much,i think i can live with that.Maybe even make a sheild to protect the lowest part if i have to.I just measured, from the ground to the oil pan is 2 3/4 inches, and the header looks like it will hang about even with the front tire,so when going over speed bumps, the header will raise and go over with the tire.Is that your experience?
Just to clarify, you have the origanal LG long tubes?I'm assuming you didn't have to lift the motor. Will i need a 3" cat back?I have the B&B route 66 on there now, bolts to the stock middle section of the exhaust.Once again, mahalo for the pic..

I also have the B&B exhaust and yes I have th e original LG pro series long tube headers. FYI, the price will be going up after the first of the year due to demand...per Lou, the owner of LGM. The headers come with everything all the way back to the cat backs. Headers, x-pipe, everything. If you get them, keep in touch with me and I'll make sure you get the little things squared away properly. And when I did the install I didn't have to move the motor, the headers just slid right into place, with little effort. The passanger side gave me a small amount of trouble but got it in. I did have to remove some parts like the alternator, coil packs, etc. Very easy stuff. Check these instructions out at your leisure ( http://www.cajundude.com/c5techhome.htm ). The install is very easy, IMO!

This is what my car sounds like.........but my headers don't have cats, and my B&B's are the PRT set. From what I hear the LG's with cats are a bit quieter. Click here to watch Jons-Vette-w-LGs

Right on bro.I'm currently catless now myself.I will have to wait until the end of Jan to order them.I'll pay the increased price.I just have to many other things to do right now, thanks for the sound link,i'm at work now,and have to move the speakers from one computer to this one,i'll do that at dinner time.Good to hear the motor doesn't have to be moved,i can do it,just saves time.Iv'e done cams and stuff too, this sounds like a half day in the drive way.I'm pumped now.I love the polished finish the LGs have too.I'll probably go catless with the LG's,i already have o2 sims, and i'll be able to tune the car also.Ya i figued i would have to remove some stuff,i'll probably remove the plugs on the passenger side as well.
I'm going to relocate my coils at the same time i think,i have polished one valve cover already,i made the brackets and stuff already.Just need to order the wires when i order the headers.I just want my motor to look different than other c5's,so off with the fuel rail covers.Iv'e painted and polished most under hood stuff to a mirror finish. Here it is right now.But i just don't like plastic stuff covering the motor. Thanks again bro..

Damn bro.........that looks crazy. I like the red, but I'm not liking the valve covers. Its not like you couldn't change them or anything. Thats cool that your seeking a unique look, I got to give you props for that. Thanks for sharing......

Oh, and I can't express how much of a good time I had installing these headers. I didn't have any major issues either. That makes the whole thing much more pleasant.

Thats the 3rd different color for the rail covers..
Now i'm just going to store them.
The c5 is a nice car to work on,not to often you hear folks saying it was fun to put headers on,it's usually a cuss fest with most cars.
I'm going to go with the fast intake and a heafty cam later in the year, then i'll round out the "looks" dept..
Iv'e never heard a complaint about LGs leaking. My f-body headers, man i had to tighten the header bolts and flanges about once a month.
