High milage vette? Help needed with a few questions.

When my rings went out on 3 cylinders @ 85,000 mis, I replaced the engine with a 2002 Z06 model. The engine only had 7,000 mis, and was preferable compared to a ring job. Cost=around $3,500 installed by a reputable tuner in my area. Now, I think the price would be closer to $5,000. So, I think it's a good idea, myself. Worked for me!
Other than the obvious things already covered in previous posts, you might want to check for rock chips. My car has several after accumulating 97,000 mis, and a repaint would run around $2,500 or so in my area. Good luck!
