Removing them was not the difficult part, all you need to do is take some fishing line (or dental floss) and put it behind the molding and use a sawing motion. But the difficult part is that a lot of adhesive gets left behind on the car. That needs to be removed very slowly with your fingers and thumb, then you clean the surface with various chemicals (I'm not sure what my friend used, he tried a bunch of stuff from his shop)
But the end result was worth it for me, I found the car looks much sleeker without the moldings.
It's not that hard at all. The fishing line is a good way to start...then you can use bug and tar remover to get the glue off. Piece of cake!
i'm envious of this, i didn't get my first vette until i was 29 - second one (at the same time) at 32, sold those, bought my third and fourth (in my sig) at 34!
