Z51 Suspension Which vettes came with the Z51 package? Just certain years? Did all vettes with the selective ride control have Z51 package?
How much difference and tighter does the car handle with it?

Don't take this as the law... because maybe I don't know what I'm talking about... but my take is: Z51 has been offered as an option on all coupe's since 1985... As for the magnetic selective ride control... that is not a Z51 package... when you set it to sport mode it closely resembles the feel of a Z51... but it's not quite the same.... I wouldn't buy a vette without the Z51 package... it just feels tighter... although most people will never aproach the limits of even the sandard suspension... I just like the feel of the Z51 better.. but it does give up some ride quality to the std package.... but if you want a plush ride.... buy a caddy

No. If you got the selective ride control, you could not order the Z51. Selective ride control addjusts the shocks dampening ability. The Z51 was stiffer springs and sway bars. With the stiffer springs, you would not get as much of a change in shock dampening, so it was an either or situation. I have the Z51 on my 01 convertible and love it! Every time I go from it to the TA, it feels like I am in a boat!
