c5 info couple of newb qeustions, what is the stock rearend ration for a 02 a4 c5? what kind of headers and catback would you recomend and what are the expected gains. does the vette have a Y pipe or is it a dual system. also do you get an aftermarket lid or what is this veraram i was reading about.
sorry for the newb ?'s, i have a ls1 fbody, and my friend got a c5. so he thinks since its the same engine i should know what to do with his. i'm assuming more air in and more air out is the first step. just not familair with the brands and stuff. thanks for the info.

The stock rearend is a 2.73 ratio, while the optional one is 3.15.
There are lots of opinions on headers and catback so I'll let others with more experience with them voice their opinions.
As far as the Vararam, most people seem to get 3 tenths improvement over the stock airbox so it's definitely a worthwhile mod. I've got one on mine but haven't been to the track with it since installing it. I'm hoping to be in the 12s now though.

Automatic stock is 273 with an optional 315 if ordered, the manuals are 342.
The Corvette has true dual exhaust. Myself I am still running stock mufflers.
LT headers should be the first Big mod. They really add alot. The bigger names are LG, Kooks, Stainless Works and Dynatach. Myself I went with Melrose and picked up alot of HP and Torque. Cat backs I can not comment on. Generally a muffler change will not yeild alot on the C5.

If the car is pre-01 O would do LT's and LS6 intake swap first.
