Ranger, you're certainly on your way to the 10's in your new Z06, impressive! Once you take another 10th off your 60ft time, you'll probably be there. Bob

Thanks, Bob. The C6Z06 ECU function called "torque management" pulls timing on launch and strong shifts to protect the drive train. So with stock tuning it has been impossible to get the mid-1.6x 60' that I used to crank out regularly on my 02 Z06. Plan to keep on experimenting with different launch approaches. My 330-1320 is dialed in to 6.31-6.35. Just need a good 330 to go with it; but that will take driving around TM.

*shrug*
I run et streets on my Z06 with the stock rear end and was using a Spec stage 3 clutch. I would race most nights at least 6 passes launching at 4500 to 5000 rpms. The car was making consistent 1.70 sixty foot times all the time. My rear end never gave me any problems thus far. It has been well over a year of racing as well and the car is making 450+ rwhp now.

I would speculate that the car has an aftermarket clutch and mods to the engine.

A stock motor with stock clutch won't produce those 60'....nor 7000 rpm for shifts.

Any details? No signature for your screen-name.
