Well, I don't see myself hitting a roadcourse anytime soon, but I would hate to lose any street handling, like that ability to do 'hard' lane changes.
I've run Nittos in the past on my 98 Formy, always liked those. Link to 295 Nittos? I can only find 305.

In CY 2002 when I was tring to find the bottom on my 02 Z06 with CAI and DRs, I ran the BFG 315.35.17 Comp TA DRs. I kept them on the car for months at a time because I was drag racing most every weekend from July-December.
That first pair gave me about 150 passes and 8K street miles. But I must say that I don't drive aggressively on the street. Did have them up to 155+ a few times (30 psi cold) and they were stable. Could do off-ramps at 60 vs 63-64 on F1SCs. Not much of a compromise.
Never ran the 18s on the C5Z. Am now running 345.30.18 on the C6Z. Doubt I'll get 50 passes from them and I change them at the track, if the drive is more than 30 miles.
The BFGs don't have much tread. Not good in the rain.
For pure street driving, the F1SC are great. Just must learn to squeeze the throttle and not hammer it in one motion.

hey john i ran 295 bf drs and loved them, i usually run the bf kd's which as most know are amazing tires. i do not what so ever like the way my car handles w/the dr's and it felt very sloppy in the rear end if you jerk the wheel at 50mph the car will sway pretty bad, the kd's are just so tough but no straightline perf. thats why i have 2 drs mounted on rims in my garage for when i take the car out thats what id recomend.
