Check engine light on normal?
Check engine light on normal? I have been really busy and my "change oil soon" came on my gauges ( on my c5 ) , then tonight my check engine light came on? ( the oil life left was like 2% ). It freaked me out and i reset the oil trip. Turned the car off for about 3 hours went back out and started it up and the light was off.
Is that normal?

Doubtful. But "I" don't know for sure...
Sounds to me like it was a random code... maybe an EVAP code...or ... anything I guess.
YOu need to find out what the code was...always.
Respect the check engine light.....tick tick boom.
You can check it without useing a scanner, by useing your options menu.
